The Ultimate Super Turbo Fighting Game Tournament Remix 2010: Tournament Edition

So me and a few of my friends have come up with this pretty ambitious plan over the course of the last two days. Basically next semester we are going to host a fighting tournament and invite a crap ton of people... but this is no ordinary fighting game tournament... this is the ULTIMATE fighting game tournament. We will pick probably around twenty fighting games out of whichever are offered to be used (we have most that we need already) and probably have between ten and twenty participants all competing to win a.... drum roll please.... CAKE!

We have no console prejudice and as long as we can get it we'll use anything from a Genesis to an Xbox 360. We will probably set the tournament up in a rather basic fashion. Players will play three matches (may change depending on the game) of each game and get a point for each game match they win. The player with the most wins at the end wins the cake... and no... I don't think we will attempt a convoluted bracket system.

Here's a list of game franchises we are considering: Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct, Primal Rage, Clay Fighter, Virtua Fighter, Capcom VS series, Super Smash Bros., Guilty Gear, BlazBlue, Dead or Alive, Soul Caliber, Art of Fighting, Tekken, Dark Stalkers, Dragon Ball Z, Shaq-Fu, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Tournament Fighter... to name a few.

Not sure how big we want to make it, but we're going to want to invite an audience as well, so hopefully all goes well!
